Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of hemorrhoids-fistula lotion in wound healing after perianal abscess surgery and its regulatory effect on tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α), interferon-gamma(IFN-γ), and interleukin-12(IL-12). Methods A total of 60 patients after perianal abscess surgery were enrolled and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 30 patients in each group. The patients in the observation group were given fumigation-washing therapy with hemorrhoids-fistula lotion twice a day, and those in the control group were given fumigation-washing therapy with potassium permanganate solution in the same way. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks, and the two groups were compared in terms of wound healing time, wound exudate score, and granulation tissue growth score, as well as the levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ, and IL-12 before and after treatment. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly shorter shedding time of wound slough and wound healing time (P<0.05) and significant reductions in wound exudate score and granulation tissue growth score (P<0.05). After treatment, both groups had significant reductions in the levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ, and IL-12 (P<0.05), and the observation group had significantly greater reductions than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Hemorrhoids-fistula lotion can promote wound healing and reduce inflammatory response after perianal abscess surgery.
