Abstract:Objective To optimize the extraction process for Compound Pei- yuan Granule. Methods Using the content of total polysaccharides, the total content of ginsenoside Rb1 and icariin, and extract yield as evaluation indices, an L9(34) orthogonal design was adopted to determine the optimal water amount, extraction time, and times of extraction in the extraction process for Compound Pei- yuan Granule. Results The optimal extraction process was as follows: raw material was mixed with water at a ratio of 1∶12; extraction was performed three times (for 1 h each time). Conclusion This optimized extraction process is feasible and can provide a basis for the quality control of Compound Pei- yuan Granule.
