Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Baijie Powder on wound healing after perianal abscess surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 30 patients in each group. The patients in the control group received sitz bath with hemorrhoids-fistula lotion and wound cleaning with Compound Huangbai Liquid, and those in the treatment group received Baijie Powder in addition to the treatment in the control group. The two groups were compared in terms of clinical symptom (anal pain, degree of edema, and wound secretions)scores, granulation growth score, wound healing rate, wound tissue cells (number of capillaries, number of fibroblasts, and percentage of macrophages),and clinical outcome. Results There were no significant differences in wound indicators and wound tissue cells between the two groups on day 3 after surgery (P>0.05).On days 7 and 14 after surgery, compared with the control group, the treatment group had significantly higher clinical symptom(anal pain, degree of edema, and wound secretions)scores and indicators of wound tissue cells (number of capillaries, number of fibroblasts, and percentage of macrophages)(P<0.05). The treatment group had a significantly better clinical outcome than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Baijie Powder has a marked clinical effect in promoting wound healing after perianal abscess surgery and can alleviate postoperative clinical symptoms and promote postoperative recovery of anal function.
