Abstract:Objective To investigate the immunoregulatory effect of Lingqi Granule in mice with immunocompromise induced by cyclophosphamide and normal mice. Methods The mice were given intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide to establish a mouse model of immunocompromise, and the effects of Lingqi Granule on leukocyte count, lymphocyte count, T lymphocyte transformation rate, natural killer (NK) cell viability, carbon particle clearance, and coefficient of immune organ were observed. The effects of Lingqi Granule on hemolysin, number of hemolytic plaques, and delayed-type hypersensitivity in skin mediated by 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene in normal mice were observed. Results In the mice with immunocompromise induced by cyclophosphamide, Lingqi Granule significantly improved spleen T lymphocyte transformation ability, NK cell viability, and carbon particle clearance ability, increased peripheral blood leukocyte and lymphocyte counts, and reduced atrophy of immune organs (including the spleen and thymus). In the normal mice, Lingqi Granule significantly increased the half hemolytic concentration and number of hemolytic plaques and enhanced delayed-type hypersensitivity mediated by 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene. Conclusion Lingqi Granule can enhance specific and non-specific immunity in mice.
